Data Catalog

The Data Catalog is the repository of all University data and source systems. Data flows from the Data Catalog to the business intelligence platforms used across the University (such as Oracle and Business Objects), from which it is delivered to analytics and reporting applications (such as Tableau and the Report Catalog) for viewing.

The Business Intelligence Center of Excellence team assures all data is accurate, high-quality, and accessible by maintaining data integrity, cleansing, and security, and performing other data management tasks.

The range of available data sets can be exploited in a multitude of ways to provide valuable and actionable business intelligence insights. BI COE provides comprehensive services to help UChicago community members discover the possibilities of this data and translate them into business intelligence solutions that enhance day-to-day management as well as long-term planning. Members with advanced technical skills can also leverage these data sets on a self-service basis.
